I am Ashley Barys, Lindop School Social Worker.  This is my first year with Lindop School District 92 and I am very happy to be a part of the Lindop family.  I am excited to being this school year working with Lindop students and their families.  Our school is an exciting place to be, not just for our children but for families as well.  You are the most vital component for student success in school, and together we are in a partnership for ensuring academic, social and emotional well being for everyone.

Some background about me, I went to school at Illinois State University from 2004-2008 and majored in social work and minored in psychology.   I continued my education at University of Illinois and graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 2010.  I place high value on education, so I studied school social work specifically and placed emphasis on working in elementary schools.  I have my License in Social Work (L.S.W.) and I am currently working towards obtaining my highest licensure, a License in Clinical Social Work (L.C.S.W.).

Since graduation I have gained experiences working in a variety of school districts.  I took many part time and temporary positions so I could continue to work in schools.  I am very happy and grateful to be here, as being Lindop’s School Social Worker is truly a dream come true.

I am here for you and your family.  We will be in communication throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to contact me for any reason.  You are always welcome to come to school to meet in person, call my office directly at (708) 786-6425, or email me at  If for any reason I am unavailable I will always get back to you.  I look forward to getting to know your child(ren) and working closely with you, as we are a team for your child with you as our expert.

                                    Thank you,

Ashley Barys
